Admission Things : Oct 31st Admission Deadline: Will schools comply?

JAMB had earlier in the year instructed that all higher institutions
should conclude all their admission processes before 31st Oct, 2015.
with barely a week to this deadline, the question now remains; will
institutions be able to meet the deadline? The simple answer is No!
We at cizzelaw.blogspot.com, have been closely monitoring the
2015/2016 admission process and with the way it's going, we believe
admission lists will continue to be released up until the end of the
year.
Based on history, schools are known to release multiple admission
lists, which could take several months to completely release them all.
We're not quite sure if these names were already ready before the
deadline or not.
So really, when JAMB says admission deadline is 31st Oct, we don't
quite know what they mean by that since admission lists will still be
released after the deadline.
We hereby remind all those who have been given admission, please get
your admission letter on time. Don't procrastinate because anything
can happen in the near future.
This is also a call to all those who are yet to be given admission,
not to give up and expect their names to be shortlisted in other
batches of admission list in their various schools or on JAMB portal.
cizzelaw.blogspot.com will continue to provide you with up-to-date
information whenever a school releases any admission list.
While you expect your name in the coming admission list, you should
however be able to know when to draw the line and run to purchase the
2016 JAMB form, which closes as early as 16th Jan, 2016. The truth is,
even if you purchase your JAMB form early, and you later gain
admission, you should be happy to forgo the exam rather than hope by
not getting the form and later get disappointed. If the latter is the
case, that's till 2017!
For those yet to be offered admission, maybe you have been posted to
another institution that you may consider attending. If you want to
check if you have been posted to another school that you may consider
going to,click jamb.org.ng to access the portal . Then enter your JAMB
registration number in the space provided.
You can also consider other alternatives to JAMB such as IJMB or
Cambridge A'level exams that give you direct 200 Level entry into the
University to study what you want. If you are looking to do any of
these programmes, look for our partners websites either at the top or
at the sides of this website.
If you have been offered any admission, DON'T Procrastinate! Get Your
Admission Letter today, before something goes wrong!

Biafrans Plan To Confront President Buhari At Indian Airport

Speculation has it that some pro-Biafra activist in India are moving
to confront President Muhammadu Buhari on his arrival at the Delhi
International Airport.
IPOB-London
It would be recalled that earlier on Tuesday, October 27, Buhari
departed Abuja for New Dehli, India, on a 4-day official visit.
The president is billed to attend the third summit of India-Africa
Forum in New Delhi.
IReporters reports that except there be any last minute change in
plan, then the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in the diaspora must
have hatched a perfect plot on how to protest at the Delhi
International Airport against Nigeria's President, Muhammadu Buhari.
The protest is to express their dissatisfaction over the alleged
abduction and continued detention of their leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
Kanu, was apprehended by the Department of State Services (DSS), on
Saturday, October 17.
There are video reports showing the Radio Biafra director soliciting
for arms to wage a war against Nigeria.
On Monday, October 26, the Punch reported that pro-Biafra activists
under the aegis of IPOB threatened destroy the Nigerian embassy in
India, if Kanu was not released within the next 24 hours .

RONALDO WANTS TO RETURN TO ENGLAND – SEMEDO

The pair, who were both at Sporting Lisbon, have holidayed together on
occasion, leaving Premier League fans hopeful his quotes have merit
Real Madrid attacker Cristiano Ronaldo may be in line for a return to
the Premier League, according to personal friend and Sheffield
Wednesday midfielder Jose Semedo.
The 30-year-old was interviewed in the wake of Wednesday's 3-0
thumping of Arsenal, and revealed that "deep down" he feels the former
Manchester United man will be back before he retires.
"He is very happy at Real Madrid," Semedo told
talkSPORT. "But he loves English football, he loves English people
and, deep down, I think he will come back to England.
"He doesn't want to finish his career without coming back. He said he
wishes Real Madrid were based in England, but that's not possible so I
believe he will end his career in England."
Ronaldo made 292 appearances in all competitions for Manchester United
during his six-year stay in England, before moving to Spain for a
then-record £80 million (€94 million) in June 2009.

NIGERIA U17 6-0 AUSTRALIA U17: OSIMHEN’S TREBLE SENDS EAGLETS TO QUARTER FINAL

The red-hot striker scored thrice as goals from Nwakali, Essien and
Chukwueze combined to decimate Tony Vidmar's boys
Nigeria reached the Fifa U17 World Cup quarter finals after
annihiliating Australia 6-0 in their second round game in Vina Del Mar
on Thursday morning.
Complete with the presence of Funsho Bamgboye and Udochukwu Anumudu
who missed out of the Golden Eaglets' last group game owing to cards
suspension, the Joeys were torn apart by the ruthless Nigerians at the
Estadio Sausalito.
Victor Osimhen bagged a hat trick and is now the outright leading
scorer in the competition with seven goals from four games as Emmanuel
Amuneke's lads scored twice in the first half, then added four in the
second half to set up a last four encounter against Brazil in Vina Del
Mar on Sunday.
Osimhen set the ball rolling with his fifth of the tournament in the
22nd minute by bursting forward with pace and power on the left,
before turning his defender and sliding the ball past goalkeeper Duro
Dragicevic.
Australia had no answer to Nigeria's passing and movement as Kelechi
Nwakali scored the second from the penalty spot four minutes later
after Bamgboye was brought down in the box recklessly by two onrushing
defenders.
However, Cameron Joice almost pulled a goal back for the Joeys, but
failed to convert on a miserable night for the Australians.
In the second half, the Auusies looked incoherent as they gave the
ball away far too easily, while Nigeria were playing with a swagger
and got their third through Osimhen in the 73rd minute as he pounced
on a cross which Dragicevic had failed to clear.
The lanky 16-year-old striker completed his hat trick six minutes
later when he pushed aside the Aussie defender and shot into the roof
of the net past the hapless goalkeeper.
Tony Vidmar's lads were stunned, but far worse was to come as the
Eaglets capitalized on more shambolic defending to score two more
goals before the end of the game.
First, substitute Essien was on hand to head home from close range
before Chukwueze 's missile completed the rout against the side who
came into the game with the ambition of breaking their jinx against
the defending champions.
Nigeria were a class apart and the Aussie fans sportingly applauded as
they became the first team to score six goals in a Fifa U17 World Cup
knock out phase as they attempt to win the trophy for the fifth time.
The Golden Eaglets, who have now scored 14 goals, have set up a date
with Brazil in the quarter finals on Sunday.

Paul Pogba's agent sees no reason why the midfielder couldn't join
Barcelona next summer but admits Juventus would demand a huge fee.
Mino Raiola, who oversees the contract negotiations of the France
international, reopened speculation that Pogba could be on his way to
La Liga in the future but has ruled out a potential January transfer
switch.
Speaking to Radio Montecarlo, the 47-year-old representative believes
a move is being considered by Luis Enrique.
"Why not?", he said, before ruling out a New Year move.
"The signings of the big players are not made in January. Juventus'
value of Pogba? He is priced at €100 million [around £72m] ."
Pogba would become Barcelona's second-most expensive player in the
club's history - should the move go ahead - following Luis Suarez's
reported fee of £75m following his transfer from Liverpool in 2014.

Murder at dusk: Female teacher shot dead in Nsukka

Tension mounts at the University town of Nsukka, Enugu state,
following last week's gruesome killing of a female classroom teacher
at about 200 meters to her residence while returning from the state
capital where she attended the swearing- in ceremony of newly
appointed commissioners in the state.
Crime Guard gathered that the teacher identified as Princess Uzoamaka
Onyishi, nee Ugwuokwor, 40 , hailed from Mbu -Akpoti in Isi- Uzo local
government area of the state. She had accompanied one of her relations
, Mrs. Eze, to attend the swearing-in ceremony of her husband, Mr M.E
Eze, who was appointed Attorney -General and Commissioner for Justice
in the state, only to be assailed by unknown gunmen, very close to her
Uwani-Ugwu residence in Nsukka metropolis.
Investigations revealed that Princess Onyishi drove herself to Enugu,
venue of the ceremony in company of her Kano-based sister, Mrs
Ndidiamaka Nnaji, to attend the ceremony. Reports said that soon after
the ceremony, both of them cruised in a blue -coloured Toyota Corolla
of the deceased back home. It was gathered that after she had dropped
her sister at the family house along Ogurugu road in Nsukka, picked up
her cousin, Miss Jacinta Okwor, who stays with her and headed to her
residence at Uwani- Ugwu, tragedy struck. She was shot dead by two
unknown gunmen.
The attack
Eyewitness account said the two gunmen ambushed the princess at a
flooded spot on the pretext that their motor cycle had problem along
the lonely road around 8.30 pm. Reports said the unsuspecting Princess
fell victim to the bullets of her assailants as she tried to offer
help by directing her head lamp towards the passable side of the road
only for one of them to point gun at her and without demanding
anything from her, pulled the trigger and shattered her skull. The
assailants fled under the cover of darkness.
Visit to son at the campus
Further investigations revealed that the deceased who is the daughter
of late Igwe Gabriel Ugwuokwor, the traditional ruler of Mbu Akpoti, a
neighbouring community in the area and mother of five children, also
visited her first son, Chidera Onyishi, a first year student at the
Department of Political Science, at the University campus, unknown to
the boy that it was the last he will see her mother. With the joy of
the swearing in celebration, the deceased was reportedly singing songs
of praises that their relation and close acquaintance had been
elevated as a commissioner only for her to be assailed by yet -to -be
identified gunmen.
Visit to the family house
When Crime Guard visited the family house at Ogurugu road, members of
the family wore gloomy faces, wailing and confused over the fate that
befell them. Her elder sister, Uzoamaka. Nnaemeka Ugwuokwor, told
Crime Guard amidst tears that the entire family has been thrown into
confusion by the killing of their sister.
According to her, ''My sister just returned from Enugu where she
attended the swearing-in ceremony of newly appointed commissioners.
One of our relations was amongst them. On arrival at Nsukka, she drove
to the family house to see our mother, Lolo Josephine Ugwuokwor. When
she was through with her, she went to see her son at the campus. As
she was just driving into her house later, she met two young men
carrying a motor cycle, trying to manoeuvre their way in the flooded
area of the road. When she tried to evade the young man dragging the
motor bike, another young man emerged from the bush, pointed gun at
her and shot her, straight on the forehead. She died on the spot.
Before she met her untimely death, she was teaching at Urban Boys
Secondary school, Nsukka. She was the kind that hardly could hurt a
fly. What prompted her killing still remains a mystery to the family
that just buried their father, Igwe Gabriel Ugwuokwor. She was driving
herself when the incident happened. She never joined politics for one
day. Her only business in politics was to attend the swearing-in
ceremony of the newly appointed commissioner. The incident has been
reported to Nsukka police division who promptly responded to the call
put across to them when she was shot. Both the police and some clergy
men assisted in taken her to Bishop Shanahan mortuary where her corpse
was deposited. Presently, the matter has been transferred to Enugu
state police headquarters. The gruesome killing of our sister has
taken the family to a devastating point of agony, mourning, confusion
and pity. She is the most endearing in the hearts of members of the
family. She was humble, amiable and loving to the people that
interacted with her. We are not suspecting any person for now,. Our
only prayer is for God to bring out the killers of our sister. She was
a mother of five, two boys and three girls. The first is a first year
student at UNN, the second will be writing the post UME, the third is
in SS 3, the fourth is in SS 1 while the last one is in primary five.
Appeal to the police
"We look up to the police to unearth the circumstances surrounding the
wicked killing of our sister. We believe the police will stand to the
challenge to fish out perpetrators of the heinous crime and bring them
to book. We are equally appealing to the general public to assist us
in our moment of grief to give information, if any, about the killing.
We cry for help from any quarter to assist us fish out those that
assailed our sister to death. We have sent messages across to various
communities within Nsukka and beyond to report any suspected person to
the nearest police station in connection with the killing. It was pure
assassination as the killers never demanded anything from her, neither
her car key, nor cash, nothing whatsoever.
Mother reacts
Amidst tears, Lolo Josephine Ugwuokwor, 55, the mother of the deceased
managed to speak with Crime Guard. She narrated her unbearable
traumatic ordeal '' The killers of my daughter will never go
unpunished. It is too painful to me that my daughter was carelessly
killed by unknown gunmen. I am appealing to the police to investigate
and arrest her killers with the fear of God. We have reported to our
community and everybody is waiting for the outcome of police
investigation. I spoke with her immediately she returned from Enugu
unknown to me that it was the last to speak with her before she went
to UNN to see her son, Chidera.
Eye witness account
The lady who was with the deceased when the ugly incident happened,
Jacinta Okwor, narrated their travail. " I was in the vehicle with her
when the people emerged and shot her. The two men demanded nothing
from her, only pointed gun and shot her instantly. When she was shot,
she fell on my laps. I did not know she was dead. When the two men
left, I started calling her to wake up for us to go, unknown to me
that she was dead. As my efforts to wake her failed, I took the bush
part and ran to a house not too far from the scene and informed her
husband that aunty has been shot dead just now. The killers did not
demand anything from her. I sat with her in the front seat. It was a
horrible experience. I have not recovered from the trauma. The cloth I
wore that faithful day is still soaked with the blood of my aunty. God
will never forgive her killers. I am an apprentice tailor under my
sister's care but now they have killed her. One of the two men was
dragging motor cycle and she flashed light to help him only for
another to emerge from the bush and shot her, point blank without
uttering a word to her."
Husband laments
Husband to the fair- complexioned princess, Sunday Onyishi, 57,
lamented the circumstances that surrounded the gruesome murder of his
wife. "The whole thing still sound strange to me. I still could not
believe that my wife was killed like a common thief. We have been
married for the past 22 years and blessed with five children.
I am a transporter. Nobody has ever complained to me that she had
problem with her. I don't know why she was killed. When my sister in-
law rushed to me and broke the news of her death, I rushed shouting,
neighbours joined me, we combed the entire place but could not see the
killers. Then we invited the police to see what happened. I am not
suspecting anybody but the killers of my wife will definitely be
brought to book. We moved in into our own building five months ago.
Her killers did not allow her enjoy the house she laboured for all
these years of hardship. I want the police to unearth the surroundings
of her killing by faceless two young men," he stated amidst tears.

5 killed as cultists unleash mayhem in Lagos October 26, 2015 at 1:00 pm in News

LAGOS—Suspected cultist have reportedly killed five persons in
different areas of Igbo-Elerin, Lagos State. The cultist allegedly
went on rampage after a rival gang weekend shot their leader, simply
identified as Skay, at Aladesanmi Street at 8:00pm last Thursday.
Angered by the death of their leader, members of the gang on Friday at
about 7am, stormed a house located at Martins street where they
dragged a member of a rival cult gang out of his house and slaughtered
him in front of his gate. They also killed a suspected cultist at
Idowu Street.
Vanguard gathered that on Friday night, cultist raided several
relaxation centres searching for members of a rival gang. According to
a food vendor who resides around Martins street, it was a terrible
situation on Friday morning when hoodlums stormed the street and
killed a boy. Another resident in Idowu Street who craved anonymity,
said: "The incident started at about 8pm on Thursday evening when I
closed my shop.
'' I noticed that every where had been deserted. It was as if people
had ran away. There were no okada or commercial buses plying the road.
So on Friday morning, I heard that the leader of a cult gang had been
killed. ''I had to close on Friday when they were still shooting
sporadically, people were running helter skelter for safety." A
landlord in the area lamented the mindless manner the hoodlums were
snuffing out lives of people in the area like animals.
''We know some of these boys causing trouble in the area, but we can't
give information to the Police because after they are released, they
will come after us. ''Some of these cultist are children of police
officers. The police officers are aware of the cultist activities at
Igbo-elerin but you will only see policemen in the area after the
cultist had succeeded in killing people,'' he said.
Since Thursday night, residents have been living in fear of the
unknown as the cultist are on rampage. When Vanguard visited the scene
of the incident on Friday, shops in the affected areas were under
lock. Contacted, spokesperson, Lagos State Police Command, DSP Joe
Offor, said he would get back to Vanguard but didn't do so at press
time.

Breaking : What The 5 Wives Of Late Ooni Of Ife Must Do For 365 Days To Mourn Him

The plight of the five wives (oloris) of the recently deceased Ooni of
Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade, has been made known.

Ooni of ife
The monarch who died on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 has had various
controversies tied to his death. From the alleged fleeing away of the
'Abobaku' to the alleged feud among ruling houses in Ife and more are
all that has heralded the death of the prominent king.
However, Punch reports that the five wives of the king will, as a sign
of respect to the departed king, mourn him for one year. This was
revealed yesterday, Thursday, September 17, by a family member, who
spoke on condition of anonymity. According to him, by tradition, all
the oloris were prevented from talking to newsmen for one year after
the death of the king.

"The wives cannot talk to the press within one year of the monarch's
death. They cannot even attend flamboyant parties or events. There's
nothing the wives can do about that. After six months of mourning, the
wives can attend low-key parties organised by close relatives. The
family member has to be very close for the wives to attend," the
source told The Punch.
Oba Sijuwade passed away at the age of 85 years. He's survived by five
wives, Morisola, Ladun, Odunayo, Adedolapo and Linda and their ages
are between 40 and 60.

all such claims untrue. The house shot down the allegations at a press
briefing in Osogbo on Thursday, September 10.
Earlier, we reported proceedings for the new Ooni to begin shortly,

member of the Giesi family alleging a threat to his life.

away from Maiduguri, along the Biu-Maiduguri road.
According to Premium Times, the two female suicide bombers found their
way into a crowded suburb of the troubled city with one of them
succeeding in blowing herself up while the second was arrested and
disarmed before she could trigger the explosive belt worn under her
garment, security sources said.
In the report, an operative of the Civillian-JTF said: "They were two
suicide bombers; one was arrested now, but the other was able to
detonate the bomb."
As soon as the bomb blast happened, Nigerians and some other media had
already taken to Twitter:

There had also been an onslaught early Friday, October 23, as Muslims
gathered at a mosque to observe morning prayers in the old GRA area in
Maiduguri.
The Friday explosion was said to have been carried out by a suspected
lone suicide bomber whose two accomplices escaped when some vigilant
members of the community challenged them on their suspicious
movements.
Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state and the birthplace of Boko Haram
since 2002, has been the centre of the six-year-old terrorism and has
been repeatedly attacked since President Muhammadu Buhari assumed
office.
The city is attacked almost on a weekly basis . This latest attack
occurred days after at least 30 people were killed when two suicide
bombers attacked a mosque in the Mulai area of the state.
Although Buhari promised to end the insurgency by December, the
militants have refused to give up as they continually launch bomb
attacks on cities.
The Nigerian military had given a final warning
in a last statement issued recently : " This is to finally warn all
Boko Haram terrorists wherever they are, to desist from all acts of
terrorism, surrender themselves and face the law now. We wish to
inform them that we are aware of all their hideouts, camps and
enclaves."

Breaking News: The new Ooni of Ife declares that there will be no human sacrifice for his installation.

The Isoro cult and head of all deities in Ile-Ife, Oba Olajide Ifaloba
has revealed that there will be no human sacrifice to herald the
installation of the new Ooni Of Ife.

Recall that Prince Adeyeye was announced the next Ooni of Ife
yesterday, October 26, by the the Osun state governor. Ifaloba
explained that Adeyeye's emergence as was "divine," and other
contestants must see him as "product of grace." Explaining that the
installation rites will be done at nights, Ifalode said:
"We rejoice with him and thank the creator for giving us a monarch in
his class. Those that vied for the throne with him must now see Oba
Enitan as father that must be supported to lift Ife. We pray for him a
long life and good health to administer the town and the entire Yoruba
land. The new Ooni would have spent three months in Ilofi before his
installation, but he would be spending 21 days instead, because of the
forthcoming Olojo Festival."
The new Ooni's father, Pa Ogunwusi also revealed that the emergence of
the new Ooni was foreseen, even before his birth. He told Nigerian
Tribune: "We thank God. It is the Lord's doing. We are grateful to
God. This is because out of over 40 contestants, God has really
singled him out to do the job and carry the load of Yorubaland. I pray
to God in his infinite mercy to grant him the grace and wisdom to do
the job successfully without any problem or blemish.
"Ife people would know peace and prosperity during his reign by the
grace of God. Before we gave birth to him, a man of God came to our
area in Ibadan. That time, he told us prophetically that we would soon
be blessed with a child and that child is going to be a child of
glory. He is going to be great and that man of God told us the exact
time of his delivery. That was how it came to pass. His emergence is
the fulfillment of God's prophesy,"
The chairman of Ife central local government area of Osun State, Dr
Taiwo Olaiya, also revealed that the kingmakers picked Adeyeye out of
the 43 princes who contested because of various things. He said that
although Adeyeye has traveled wide but he is still in contact with his
roots. He has also warm the hearts of locals through his
entrepreneurial skills.
"Ogunwusi's understanding of the Yoruba culture, despite being widely
travelled and his generosity, even when he had not shown interest in
becoming Ooni also worked in his favour. He also exhibited unmatched
humility and calmness that was hard to come by among all the
contestants. The fact that the business tycoon made his money without
being linked to any party or government also counted in his favour."

What Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo says about late wife(stella)

The Nation reports that on Sunday, October 24, the ex-president took
part in the 10th memorial service for the late Stella at the Chapel of
Christ the Glorious King within the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential
Library in Abeokuta.
"I won't say much about her today because much had been written
already in my tribute about my late wife in the book, 'My Watch' and
part of it says, she will be dearly missed by me, my family and the
Abebe family," Obasanjo said.
John Abebe, who spoke on behalf of the Abebe family, also said their
sister and daughter would be greatly missed.
Segun Oni, the deputy national chairman of the All Progressives
Congress in South, was among those who attended the event. He
described late Stella as quintessential woman, who was born and raised
in family reputed for humility and integrity.
Speaking with journalists, Oni said that his close interaction with
the Abebe family gave him insight into the late Stella Obasanjo whose
pedigree could not be over-emphasized.
Pastor Yussuf Obaje described Stella as an epitome of womanhood and
urged the family to continue to keep her legacy alive.
The memorial service titled "Keep her memory alive" was attended by
Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Governor Ibikunke Amosun of Ogun state,
Funso Kupolokun, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce among others.
Stella Obasanjo died a few weeks before her 60th birthday from
complications of cosmetic surgery at a private health clinic in Spain,
on October 23, 2005.

Amazing : The king with hundred wives and more than 500 children

The local tradition mandates a new king to take over all the wives of
the previous king. He is allowed to marry his own queens but he must
first inherit the wives of the late king. These women are believed to
shape the kingly lifestyle of the new king.
The old wives will help bring up the new queens that the king will
marry after ascending the throne.AbumbiFon Abumbi II has ruled Bafut
for 47 years and he is stuck between the traditional norms and the
modern ways. Although he follows every tradition, Fon Abumbii still
thinks he is a modern king because he has found a way to merge both in
his daily life.
My role is to blend them, to find the way forward so my subjects can
enjoy the fruits of development and modernity without destroying their
culture. Without a culture, you are nota human being, you are an
animal. And therefore the chieftaincy institution is the guarantor of
our culture,"he said.AbumbiAbumbi's third wife, Queen Constance, does
not see anything wrong in the tradition. She had this to say:"Behind
every successful manmust be a very successful, staunch woman."
